"Ashes and Fire" Ryan Adams
(FULL ALBUM)
If you love Ryan Adams, you will be so pumped to hear this album. As soon as I heard this my first thought was "he's up to his old tricks again!" and I meant that in a FABULOUS way. After a few disappointing albums from Ryan, this album is classic Ryan. Loving the lyrics, the music, and the voice. So glad he's headed back to familiar territory in such a great way. Check this out even if you don't know Ryan Adams (not to be confused with Bryan Adams). Oh, and while you're at it... listen to the ORIGINAL "When the Starts Go Blue." No, this song is not Bono's or Tim McGraw's or even worse, that guy from One Tree Hill. It's Ryan's song and his version happens to blow the rest out of the water.
"Viva La Vida" cover by Taylor Swift
Even if you don't love Taylor, which is an issue for another day, this is a great cover. An acoustic of Coldplay's song. Check it out. My brother Pat discovered it from one of his friends and its great. Enjoy!
"Roller Skate Skinny" Old 97's
I love the Old 97s. They are great live and I am a little bit in LOVE with the lead singer, Rhett Miller. This song pops up randomly once in awhile and I think its a great introductory song to the Old 97s because it's catchy and has a more universal appeal than some of their other music may. Become as obsessed as I am!
"Love Lost" Temper Trap
Didn't get to post a song yesterday so today I have something twice as awesome. My brother. Pat showed me this sweet music video of "Love Lost" and yes, he was dancing along in my kitchen. Please just watch. If I describe it will either sound too weird or I will sound creepy. We don't need that.
"Landslide" cover by The Dixie Chicks
"Best Day" by Taylor Swift
I love Taylor Swift, and this is one of my favorites. Heard it on Pandora today and it made me happy. Such a sweet song.
"Either Way" by Wilco
"The House That Built Me" by Miranda Lambert
Sentimental and easy to sing along to. Definitely has more of a classic country feel as compared to most pop country today. This is one of my absolute favorite songs, it's constantly on repeat.
"Gypsy" by Suzanne Vega
This song has been around for awhile. So pretty and folky. It was a cool down song at spinning once. Perfect for refocusing and relaxing. Give a listen :)
